Week 1: October 1 to October 8, 2010

Our yummy food menu this week will cover Middle Eastern food. Middle Eastern food has a variety of ingredients and spices that is not popular with other authentic food. Some commonly used ingredients are: olives, olive oil, pita, garlic, lemon juice, sesame, sumac, chickpeas, mint, parsley, seven spices, and bulgur.


Now, let's dive into the healthy side of Middle Eastern cuisine. During the coming week, we'll be providing you with more than one recipe each day. Here the recipes we are targeting for Week 1:
1- Stuffed Zucchini or Squash
2- Bulgur with Chickpeas
3- Muhammara
4- Tabbouli
5- Fattoush
6- Kibbeh in a pan
7- Hummus
8- Ground meat - Kafta
9- Shish Tawooq - Chicken chunks barbecue
